
Noelia Muíño (Galicia, 1992) is a 3D artist and also director, writer and cinematographer of various short films, earning +50 festival selections and +20 awards. Among them we can highlight the selections at Zinebi, Edinbourgh and Seattle Film Festival. She also directed the TV series 'Sofia Casanova' about the first female war correspondent from Spain.
In 2022 Noelia was highlighted by Variety as one of Five Spanish Animation Talents to Track. Her feature and series projects were selected by labs such as Nextlab, Cima Impulsa, Coofilm and the SGAE thriller development lab. Her feature animation 'Into the woods' earned the Best Spanish project award at Nextlab, leading to its presentation at MIFA (Annecy, 2022).
Her love for animation, new media and narrative lead her to become a professional 3D Previs and Layout artist. She worked for companies such as Skydance (Luck, Spellbound), Dneg (Death on the Nile, Venom, Fast & Furious), Trixter and Lightbox, among others.
Noelia studied the Master in Filmmaking by New York University with ‘La Caixa’ scholarship, the Master in 3D Animation at Pompeu Fabra University and the Undergrad in Audiovisual Communication in Santiago de Compostela, where she graduated with Honors.
